On Saturday March 6th NWA Pro Wrestling Fusion and Wrestling For A Cause presented
BASEBRAWL 2010 at the North Tampa Youth Baseball Sports Complex, 6800 N. Rome Avenue, Tampa, FL 33604. The event was a benefit for North Tampa Youth Baseball.

(1)New Japan Pro’s Kazuchika Okada defeated “The Phoenix” Tommy Taylor.
This was Okada’s North American debut and he did not disappoint as went move for move with Taylor in the opening minutes. Neither man got control until Okada got a backheel trip and went to work on the left leg and knee joint. Taylor escaped and Okada retreated to a corner to refigure his attack which began with chest chops that echoed throughout the ball field. Okada took Taylor down into a chinlock submission which Taylor escaped from and he sent Okada to the floor and he followed with a tope’. The chest chopping continued on the floor and back in the ring where Taylor got two. Taylor fired in European style forearm shots but couldn’t avoid an STO from Okada for two. Okada and Taylor traded forearm shots and Okada won when he escaped an attempted suplex into a rollup.

(2) “Big Time” Dwayne James & “Classic” Bobby Buthol (w/”Gentleman” Gene Beard) defeated Michael Patrick & Mickey McCoy.
The rivalry between these factions has been going on for months and James was Buthol’s latest partner in an attempt to gain revenge. Before the match “Gentleman” Gene Beard came out and to the surprise of everyone he didn’t tear into the fans, instead he asked kids to gather around the ring for some money. He ripped a dollar bill in half and handed it off, being a total jerk. Buthol was a bigger one refusing to lock up with Patrick, so he tagged in James who was torn apart by Patrick & McCoy. That offense came to a halt when Patrick took his focus off James and got hit with a clothesline. Patrick was finally worn down enough that Buthol tagged in to the anger of the fans. Patrick survived the attack and after a high knee to James, McCoy tagged in and dragged Buthol over the ropes into the match. But that turned out to be a mistake as Beard and the bodyguard around ringside got involved sending Patrick crashing to the floor and McCoy into a Acecrusher and the loss column.

(3) In an Old School Showdown, Former NWA Florida Heavyweight Champion “Iceman” Buck Quartermaine defeated “Marvelous” Mike Sullivan.
These two men personified Florida wrestling over the past two decades and tonight they picked up their hatred right where it was left off. The two men traded armbars and headlocks but neither man got control until Quartermaine missed a shoulder tackle to the corner and hit flush with the padding. Sullivan went right to work on the injury using legal and illegal moves. Sullivan switched off and locked in a Boston Crab which Quartermaine tried to fight off. He didn’t submit and actually powered out of the hold. But Sullivan was quick to recover and kicked Quartermaine. Sullivan put Quartermaine on top but got blocked and heabutted back into the ring where Quartermaine hit him with another headbutt. Quartermaine got two as Sullivan draped his leg on the ropes. Both men collided mid ring and beat the ref’s 10 count as Sullivan missed a top rope headbutt. Quartermaine took Sullivan out with a swinging sitout pedigree.

(4) #1 Contenders Match, Former 3X NWA World Tag Team Champions - The Heavenly Bodies (“Casanova” Chris Nelson & “Vivacious” Vito DeNucci) defeated Heartbreak Express (“Superstar” Sean & “Fabulous” Phil Davis)
This match was supposed to include the NWA Florida Tag Team champions the Dark City Fight Club, but due to contractual obligations they could not appear. Instead we got a battle of former World Tag Team champions and that was before the bell even rang as both teams talked on the mic talking trash. The bodies wasted no time in taking it to the Express as the fans called Sean “Shamu.” Nelson waited in the ring as the Express held a private confab ringside. Phil tagged in and demanded DeNucci tag in and he was graced with the “Vivacious” one’s presence. A test of strength was held and Davis ended up on the mat as Nelson snuck in and hit a gut shot as Sean argued with the referee. Sean tried the same trick as Nelson and the referee chatted but he got kicked in the face by DeNucci. The Bodies kept control until Phil raked DeNucci’s eyes and Sean hit a splash for two. The Express used ever dirty trick the Bodies knew and they still got away wit hit as the referee did his job keeping Nelson out of the ring. DeNucci hit Phil with a clothesline but his offense was short lived as the Express kept making quick tags. DeNucci may have been out on his feet but he avoided a corner splash to tag in Nelson. All four men fought in the ring but the Bodies were able to avoid a collision and rollup both Express members to become the #1 contenders.

(5) Francisco Ciatso (w/Pete Cannon & “the Princess of Wrestling” Amy Vitale) defeated The Saint.
Being an arrogant SOB, Ciatso smacked the Saint in the face and to no surprise the Saint shoved Ciatso into a corner. Ciatso tried to chain wrestle but ended up on the canvas in a side headlock. Ciatso escaped only to be hip locked to the mat and he slid out for a conference with the Double Deuce Social Club. Some form of plan seemed to be in place when Ciatso slid back into the ring and it briefly worked thanks to a low blow. Cannon & Vitale joined in the action as Ciatso distracted the referee. Ciatso finally got back to wrestling, taking Saint down in a rear chinlock that nearly got a submission but Saint raised his hand on the third drop. Saint fought to his feet only to be hit with a knee to the gut. Ciatso got greedy and went to the second rope but he missed a splash. The Saint went on the offensive even as Vitale got on the apron to argue. Saint went for a suplex from the ring apron but Cannon tripped the Saint causing Ciatso to fall on top and he got the win as Cannon held the Saint’s feet.

(6) NWA Florida Jr. Heavyweight champion Craig Classic defeated Christopher Gray.
Classic and Gray went through a feeling out process which ended when Gray hit a standing flip into a pin for two. Gray followed with a cross body block for two. Gray tossed Classic to a corner but Classic floated over and hit a forearm smash. Classic hit a running boot to the face just as Gray tried to sit up from the mat. Classic used the five count to his advantage in beating on Gray. Classic hit a Facewash and got two even using the ropes for the pin attempt. Gray got caught in a Dragon Sleeper but Classic let it go to inflict more pain and that was a mistake as Gray hit a dropkick. That seemed to piss Classic off as he got back on the offensive but that cost him as Gray moved and Classic went over the ropes. Gray followed out with a bodyblock that caused both men to try and beat the ten count. Both men made it in with Classic hitting a modified DDT for two. Classic followed with a suplex but he missed a top rope headbutt. Both men got to their feet and traded forearm shots but it was Gray who went up and hit a missile dropkick for two. Classic recovered and hit a series of German suplexes but Gray fought off the fourth attempt with a rollup for two. Gray went for it all but his F5 was countered into a Dragon Sleeper with a body scissor that caused Gray to tap out.

(7) NWA North American/FLORIDA/Midwest Heavyweight champion The Sheik defeated Former WWE/WCW Superstar Big Vito LoGrasso via DQ.
The Sheik is also the Pro Wrestling Fusion Heavyweight champion and NWA Midwest Heavyweight champion and has been demanding a shot at NWA World Heavyweight champion Blue Demon Jr. This was LoGrasso’s Fusion debut and he has the fans full support. The Sheik didn’t care about the fans and he attacked LoGrasso with chops and a choke hold along the ropes. LoGrasso fought back with a hiptoss and the fight went to the outside where LoGrasso tossed the rules out but when they got in the ring, the Sheik took control again using his possibly loaded boots. The abuse went on for several minutes even as LoGrasso fought back. Nothing the Sheik did made LoGrasso to tap out and LoGrasso got on the attack hitting a legdrop for two. The Sheik dumped LoGrasso to the floor and the referee got knocked down in the struggle. The Sheik went to use the championship belt but LoGrasso moved and decked Sheik. The second referee came out and instead of counting the pinfall, called for the bell saying LoGrasso kicked the referee. Therefore the Sheik retained via DQ.

(8) In a Lights Out grudge match, NTYB Alumni Mike Easom defeated Steve Madison.
Per the NWA bylaws, this match was not sanctioned by the organization and to no ones surprise it was a brawl in and out of the ring. Easom held his own with the former NWA Florida Heavyweight champion but Madison used some cheap shots to get control. Madison nearly broke the ring when he suplexed Easom for two. Madison’s top rope trip ended badly when Easom slammed him off. Easom followed with a splash in the corner and powerslam for two. The referee made Easom back up from Madison and it backfired as Madison used brass knuckles to hit Easom. The referee counted the pin and then saw the item on Madison’s hand and called for a restart. Madison promptly nut shotted Easom. For some reason Madison wrapped his cowbell around his neck and went up top, but he missed a move and got pinned after Easom hit an FU.

-Opening Contest-
Kazuchika Okada -vs- Tommy Taylor
This opening contest should be amazing as New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Kazuchika Okada takes on England’s Tommy Taylor in what should be a fantastic technical wrestling match from two incredible international superstars. Taylor is the #1 contender to the NWA FLORIDA Heavyweight Title and Okada wants to make an impact at his debut.

-Turf War-
Moonshine McCoy -vs- Francisco Ciatso w/Double Deuce Social Club
Ciatso and Double Deuce consider Tampa Florida their old stomping grounds, mainly because they have a history of destroying competition and stomping on the dreams of their opponents. Moonshine is also from Tampa and has big plans to mark his territory. Does Moonshine have what it takes to defeat Francisco when the deck is so stacked against him? Only time will tell.

-Old School Rivalry-
Buck Quartermaine -vs- Mike Sullivan
You can’t say Tampa wrestling without mentioning Buck Q and Mike Sullivan. These two technician’s are greatly responsible for putting modern day Tampa wrestling on the map. Anytime either one of these gentleman step foot in the squared circle you are almost guaranteed to see a mat classic…put them against one another and it makes for a can’t miss match. This one could undoubtedly steal the show, and with this great line up on March 6th, that is saying a lot!

-Battle For Tag Team Supremacy-
The Heartbreak Express -vs- The Heavenly Bodies
The Tag Team scene has really heated up in NWA Florida as the NWA Florida Tag Team Champions - Dark City Fight Club have become breakout stars in the world of Professional Wrestling. Hot on their trail and gunning for their titles are former AWA World Heavyweight Champions - The Heartbreak Express and former NWA World Heavyweight Champions - The Heavenly Bodies. All teams are extremely competitive, competent and very focused on the NWA Florida Tag Team Titles. The Bodies and HBX are looking to prove that they are “THE” tag team in Florida and there is no better way to prove that then becoming the NWA Florida Tag Team Champions. This match up is something our fans have been waiting to see for a long time and the wait is now finally over.

-Grudge Match-
Bobby Buthol -vs- Micheal Patrick
On August 1, 2009…Bobby Buthol brokered a deal with our Florida office so that he and the tag team of Micheal Patrick and Moonshine McCoy could compete at our Temple Terrace Event. What he didn’t realize is they would all be competing against the MAMMOTH Shane Twins in a handicap tag team match. Even though it was three -vs- two, the odds were definitely stacked against Buthol, Partick and McCoy. Buthol brokered another deal for a match on the September show. As he came out with his team of Patrick and McCoy he dressed them down in front of the huge capacity crowd followed by double crossing them. Buthol tried to get a new tag team to destroy Patrick and McCoy only to come up short once again. Now on March 6th there are only two questions to answer, will three times be the charm or will it be the final strike?

-NWA FLORIDA JUNIOR HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH-
Christopher Gray -vs- Craig Classic (C)
Craig Classic has a new attitude since returning from Japan and will do whatever it takes to keep his title. Christopher Gray has recently returned to NWA Pro Wrestling FUSION on 1/30/10 after an 8 month absence and wants to climb back up the ladder. Gray is not the number one contender to the NWA Florida Jr. title but he got the spot when the number one contender, TJ Perkins, was destroyed by Classic at “Pandemonium At The PAL” in Ft. TJ could not make this show due to injury. Christopher Gray already holds a victory over Craig Classic, one can only wonder if he can do it again and capitalize on this amazing opportunity?

The Sheik has been destroying competitors all over the country and recently picked up the NWA NA Title after defeating “EL Gran” Apolo in Ft. Pierce, FL on 1/30/10. Recently the Sheik defeated the first Unified Universal Champion in Puerto Rican History - “El Rebele” Noriega in Chicago, IL. Does the Sheik have what it takes to retain his NWA NA title against a world class athlete such as Big Vito LoGrasso? Vito has wrestled all over the world competing for ECW, WCW and the WWE. This match may be the biggest test yet for the Sheik.
Mike Easom and Steve Madison have a tremendous hatred for one another and have battled many times before and nothing has ever been settled. The NWA understands the hatred between these two men and although this match may very well take place the NWA WILL NOT sanction this match.

Pro Wrestling Fusion returned to action at the Police Athletic League in Fort Pierce...

Pro Wrestling Fusion returned to action at the Police Athletic League in Fort Pierce, Florida and the following stories were developed on the show:

New NWA North American Champion
The current NWA Florida and NWA Midwest Champion, The Sheik added another title to his ever growing trophy case after defeating the NWA North American Champion El Gran Apolo in a hard hitting main event that saw both men battered and bloodied. With the help of Fabulous Frank at ringside, the Sheik fought off El Gran Apolo and used his spike to assist him in getting the three count.

The Sheik has had his sights set on the NWA World Heavyweight Title and with a third NWA title around his waist, his prospects for a World Title match increase. What is next for the Sheik in terms of other titles as well as opponents for his three titles?

Tommy Taylor Continues his Pursuit of The Sheik
After being burned by a fireball from NWA Florida and NWA Midwest Champion The Sheik last year, Tommy Taylor has been asked many times if he intends to return to the ring. On Saturday night, Taylor had the chance to answer those questions in front of the fans in Fort Pierce and he emphatically stated that despite the Sheik forcing his friend Chris Jones to retire from wrestling, he was not going to retire because of what the Sheik has done to him.

After the Sheik’s victory over El Gran Apolo, Taylor tried to confront the Sheik and after being restrained by security and the Dark City Fight Club, Taylor was able to get to the ring and he started to brawl with the Sheik. Will Taylor get a shot at the title when Pro Wrestling Fusion returns to the Police Athletic League on April 10th?

NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Title Picture Gets Interesting
After returning from Japan, NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic defeated two opponents on Saturday night but he was not finished after beating JC Slater and Johnny Vandal. After TJ Perkins’ victory over Prince Iaukea, TJ suggested that due to his recent winning streak, he should be able to get a title match and he said that he wanted to face Craig Classic for the Junior Heavyweight Title. Craig came to the ring and attacked Perkins and gave him a tombstone piledriver before leaving.

Will Classic give Perkins his title match or will he continue to avoid Perkins despite Craig’s demand for a challenge from someone in the locker room.

Here are the brief results from the show:
Nick Primo defeats Francisco Ciatso with Amy Vitale and Pete Cannon
Jack Manley defeats Dagon
NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic defeats JC Slater
NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic defeats Johnny Vandal
NWA Florida Tag Team Champions Dark City Fight Club defeat The Heartbreak Express
King Kong Fu defeats Chris Gray
TJ Perkins defeats Prince Iaukea
NWA Florida and NWA Midwest Heavyweight Champion The Sheik with Fabulous Frank defeats NWA North American Champion El Gran Apolo to win the NWA North American Title

Here is what happened on the show:

Match Number One: Nick Primo defeats Francisco Ciatso with Amy Vitale and Pete Cannon
Ciatso starts off the match in control of things and he shows his younger no respect as he slaps him around while mat wrestling Primo. Primo uses his athletic advantage and he leap frogs the referee to go after Ciatso. The referee helps Primo by kicking Ciatso off the ropes on a sunset flip attempt but he can only get a near fall. Ciatso misses a splash from the turnbuckles and then despite interference by Amy Vitale, Primo gets the three count with a rollup.

Match Number Two: Jack Manley defeats Dagon
Manley tries to attack Dagon before the bell rings, but Dagon turns around and snarls forcing Manley to flee the ring. Manley and Dagon go back and forth with each man getting some near falls. Manley gains control and he tries to get Dagon to tap out to a Triangle choke but Dagon counters. However, Manley gets the three count with a victory roll.

After the match, Dagon chases Manley to the back.

Match Number Three: NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic defeats JC Slater to retain the NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Title
Classic with a kick and chops followed by a slap to Slater’s face. Slater gets in a few chops but Classic connects with an elbow and forearms for the three count.

After the match, Classic gets on the mic and he wants to know if this is the best in the back. He demands another challenger.

Match Number Four: NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Champion Craig Classic defeats Johnny Vandal to retain the NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Title
Vandal gets the early advantage on Classic since Classic did not have time to prepare for Vandal. Classic gets a few near falls after taking control of the match and overpowering Vandal. Vandal gets one final near fall before Classic finishes him off with a boot to the head followed by the Sliding D.

Before the NWA Florida Tag Title Match, the challengers, the Heartbreak Express come out and Sean Davis tells everyone to show respect for the greatest tag team in Florida. He also says that we will never see the Dark City Fight Club again after tonight.

Match Number Five: NWA Florida Tag Team Champions Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis and Kory Chavis) defeat the Heartbreak Express (Sean and Phil Davis) by count out to retain the NWA Florida Tag Team Titles
The match starts off with both teams brawling and the champions are in control until the challengers poke the champions in the eye. Sean and Phil work over Chavis while they keep Davis out of the ring. The Davises continue with the double team maneuvers on Chavis. Davis is able to recover and he punches Phil from the apron and that allows Chavis to hit an Ace Cutter. Sean and Phil leave the ring and the referee counts them out.

After the match, the Dark City Fight Club chase the Heartbreak Express to the back and then it is time for an intermission.

Tommy Taylor comes out to be interviewed and he is asked if he will retire like Chris Jones has after what the Sheik did to him. Taylor says that Chris is a close friend of his and then says that Chris will never wrestle again in Pro Wrestling Fusion because of the Sheik. Taylor talks about the fireball that the Sheik threw in his face, but he will not retire.

Match Number Six: King Kong Fu defeats Chris Gray
Fu has some fun with Gray and he turns an attempted test of strength into a dance routine and it frustrates Gray. Gray is able to get past Fu’s shenanigans and he works on trying to neutralize his larger opponent. Fu is able to back Gray into the turnbuckles and then he finishes off Gray with a back senton.

Match Number Seven: TJ Perkins defeats Prince Iaukea
Iaukea tries to intimidate his younger opponent but Perkins stands up to Iaukea and when the pushing starts, Perkins does not back down. The referee even gets involved and pushes Iaukea down. Iaukea takes some time on the floor to regroup and that works for Iaukea because he is able to take control of the match as he works on Perkins’ ribs and when the action goes to the floor, Iaukea uses the guardrail to his benefit. Perkins uses his athletic advantage to fight back and he uses that athleticism to wear down Iaukea enough to put him in the Cloverleaf and Iaukea taps out.

After the match, Perkins gets on the mic and he mentions that he has won two straight matches and since the winners usually get title matches, he wants to challenge Craig Classic for the NWA Florida Junior Heavyweight Title. Craig comes to the ring and he attacks Perkins and hits a Blue Thunder Driver and Tombstone piledriver.

Match Number Eight: NWA Florida and NWA Midwest Champion The Sheik defeats NWA North American Champion El Gran Apolo to become the new NWA North American Champion
Sheik tries to attack Apolo before the bell rings, but Apolo is able to fight back and he hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. The action moves to the floor and Apolo with a number of chops that echo throughout the building. The fight moves into the crowd as chairs are used by the wrestlers. The action returns to the ring and Sheik tries to use illicit means to wear down Apolo. Apolo fights back and gets a number of near falls. The referee is knocked out and he does not see Apolo hit a TKO on Sheik and have him down for more than three seconds. Sheik recovers and he gets the spike and hits Apolo with it. The referee recovers and makes the three count.

After the match, Tommy Taylor comes out to confront the Sheik but he is held back by the Dark City Fight Club. Taylor eventually gets his hands on the Sheik but Sheik is able to escape to the back.

Pro Wrestling Fusion returns to Fort Pierce on April 10, 2010

PRO WRESTLING FUSION OFFICES STATEMENT 2/7/10
Sean Davis you are a LIAR.

This piece of evidence was shot after the last NWA Pro Wrestling FUSION show in Ft. Pierce on 1/30/10 and was delivered to us and the Ft. Pierce Police Department.

VIDEO EVIDENCE

This proves that Sean Davis and Phil Davis were the ones who attached DCFC. Sean Davis was heard saying “tie them to the truck” numerous times. God forbid the HBX accomplished what they set out to do. What were they thinking? Were they going to tie the DCFC to a large pickup truck and drag them down the street? No one knows what these two sick individuals had in store for DCFC but one this is certain, their Lawyers don’t have a case any longer so they can stop harassing everyone for false imprisonment, slander etc.. Sean and Phil have proven once again that the Heartbreak Express are not going to abide by the rules of NWA Pro Wrestling FUSION.

SO…instead of firing them one more time, we are going to handle this the old school way…in wrestler court.

A decision will be made in the very near future about how to best handle this situation. The DCFC only wants HBX back in a ring without them both running off like cowards. We agree…we just have to establish what kind of match we think is appropriate due to the circumstances. Unfortunately this match wont happen soon enough as DCFC will not be in Ft. Pierce on April 10 as they have prior wrestling commitments, but DCFC WILL BE BACK soon and we do not feel the heat from this situation will cool down any time soon. We also feel that the fans of Ft. Pierce deserve this match most as this is where it all happened so we will deliver this match at our final show of the season in Ft. Pierce and our 2nd Year Anniversary Show on MAY 15, 2010 - VAMANOS BANG BANG 2. We will definitely have something interesting in store for the Heartbreak Express and our loyal FUSION fans on this day to settle this once and for all!!!!

PRO WRESTLING FUSION STATEMENT: 1/31/10

After the show last night…someone or some people attacked the Dark City Fight Club. As of right now the details of this situation are pretty sketchy but an investigation is currently in progress. From what we can gather the attack had the potential to be much worse or maybe even fatal and we are not sure as to what that actually means as of right now but Kory Chavis was quoted as saying “They want to try and Kill someone? Ill show them how its really done!”. We believe we know who is responsible for the attack but the DCFC won’t talk. Sean Davis and Phil Davis were taken into custody at the FUSION after party by Ft. Pierce Police but released late last night. The NWA Florida committee is waiting to review all of the evidence with the help from our good friends at the Ft. Pierce Police Department and a meeting is scheduled to determine a punishment to fit the crime.

As for the finish to the HBX and DCFC match, the referee did his job. In NWA Pro Wrestling FUSION a count out happens when a wrestler is out of the ring long enough for the referee to count to ten, and thus disqualified. The Heartbreak Express were on the receiving end of a 10 count last night, so they were disqualified. We are sorry if fans didn’t like the finish to this match but it is what it is and we must follow the rules.

Now…if the Heartbreak Express continue on the path that they have been on since being allowed to return to NWA Pro Wrestling FUSION ie. attacking Dark City Fight Club on their way to the ring to defend their NWA Florida Tag Team Titles against other opponents, leaving a match they signed a contract to be in while in progress and getting counted out, allegedly attacking DCFC in the parking lot after the events…then believe me when I say that they will be dealt with accordingly. We are sorry if you did not like the finish to this match but we are very dialed in to this situation and we will have it cleaned up in a timely matter. A decision will soon be made that I’m sure will be to the delight of our loyal FUSION fans.

As for right now we want everyone to know that Kory Chavis and Jon Davis are ok and now more angrier than ever and I would not want to be either Sean Davis or Phil Davis of the Heartbreak Express as the mere thought of being on the receiving end of a DCFC beating would make the strongest men weak in the knees. More details to follow…

SEAN DAVIS of The HEARTBREAK EXPRESS REPLIED: 1/31/10

There is absolutely NO truth to Phil and I having ANYTHING to do with whatever happened to Jon Davis and Kory Chavis last night after the NWA Fusion event. Obviously The DCFC are not as popular as NWA officials thought they were as the fans must have attacked them for being such cowardly little bitches after Jon Davis clearly said “I QUIT” when Kory tagged him into the match.

As for the “official” results of the match as determined by the bias NWA referee and the false charges levied against us AFTER the event and the embarassment we were put through by the hooligan Ft Pierce police department…well let’s just say our team of lawyers will be VERY busy this week.
