NWA North American Heavyweight Champion - El Gran Apolo makes his way to the Sunshine State of Florida on January 30, 2010 to defend his title against the toughest competition in the south as he debuts for one of the NWA’s top promotions, PRO WRESTLING FUSION. There has been no word on who El Gran Apolo will be facing in the squared circle but stories of FUSION wrestlers lobbying to get a shot at the prestigious North American title are circulating. Francisco Ciatso has been bombarding the Fusion Offices as of late stating that he is on a tear and deserves this more than ever…Steve Madison’s camp has also showed interest in the title and Steve has proven lately that he will do anything to get what he wants while demonstrating a brand new attitude. Not a word has been heard from Tommy Taylor. Last we heard,  he was reported to have returned to England after being badly burned by The Sheik. Speaking of The Sheik, one could hardly talk titles without mentioning The Sheik who is currently one of the biggest rising stars in the entire NWA, holding the NWA Florida and NWA Midwest Heavyweight Titles. Surely The Sheik vs Apolo would be an interesting match up but we must wait to see how this story unfolds…
