On Saturday August 1, 2009 at PRO WRESTLING FUSION’S “True To The Game” in Temple Terrace, FL. The Sheik defeated Steve Madison to regain the Fusion FLORIDA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. This caused alarm in the Double Deuce Camp as Francisco Ciatso was slated to receive a title shot against then Champion Steve Madison on Saturday August 22, 2009 at PRO WRESTLING FUSION’S “Beach Street Bash” in Daytona Beach FL.

On a side note in Charlotte, North Carolina during Greg Price’s Legends Weekend on August 8-9 it was incorrectly reported that Too Cold Scorpio defeated Phil Shatter for the NWA National Title.  Shatter remains the NWA National Champion and was not pinned by Scorpio on the 1st night’s show, and the announcement to the crowd that Scorpio had won the NWA National Title was false. The NWA regrets the confusion created by Mr. Price.

A meeting was held between NWA and FUSION officials this morning and as it stands the two men (THE SHEIK & TOO COLD SCORPIO) that emerged victorious in both of these title matches will face each other in Daytona Beach, FL. for the Pro Wrestling Fusion FLORIDA HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE. All appeals made to the committee by Francisco Ciatso and Double Deuce Inc. have been denied as of right now. The match between former PWF FLORIDA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION - Steve Madison and Francisco Ciatso will remain and will be a number one contenders match for the Florida Heavyweight title.

In Tag Team News…The Sheik has dropped out of the tag team title scene by forfeiting the PWF Florida Tag Team Titles that were held by iASSASSINS (SHEIK & Christopher Gray) This decision was made due to the fact that The Sheik would not be able to defend both titles at a championship level. This means that the belts are held up and will be awarded to the winners of the DARK CITY FIGHT CLUB vs THE SHANE TWINS on August 22, 2009 in Daytona Beach, FL. This match between these two tag team behemoths will be a NO DISQUALIFICATIONS Match to ensure a clear cut champion.
